Is there a Lake Monster lurking beneath the surface of Windermere?

For the past four years there have been numerous sighting of a large unidentified creature swimming in Windermere, situated in The Lake District National Park in Cumbria. The phenomenom has been dubbed Bownessie, taking her name from the village of Bowness on Windermere. It is also a tongue in cheek reference to her more famous Scotish cousin Nessie, The Loch Ness Monster!
